Impingement Freezer

Impingement Freezers are high-efficiency air-blast freezing systems that use specially designed nozzles to generate high-velocity (tens of meters per second) cold air jets. These jets "impinge" perpendicularly onto the food surface, acting like countless icy "scrapers" that break up the stagnant insulating air layer, resulting in ultra-rapid freezing.

Working Steps of Impingement Freezer

Step 6: Product Discharge
The fully and uniformly frozen product is discharged from the other end of the tunnel, ready for packaging.
Step 5: Rapid Freezing
The food is frozen within minutes, thereby maximizing the preservation of its quality, color, and texture.
Step 4: Efficient Heat Transfer
With the boundary layer disrupted, the cold air makes direct contact with the product, enabling extremely rapid heat removal.

Step 1: Product Infeed
The product to be frozen is fed into the freezing tunnel via a conveyor belt.
Step 2: High-Velocity Air Impingement
High-pressure fans blast extremely cold air -35°C to -50°C(Adjustable) through nozzles, creating high-velocity jets that impinge perpendicularly onto the product surface from both above and below.
Step 3: Boundary Layer Disruption
The high-velocity jets disrupt the stagnant boundary layer of insulating air that surrounds the product.

Key Advantages:

•  Freezing time reduced by 50%-70% compared to traditional spiral freezers (e.g., 25mm thick burger patty from +4°C to -18°C in just 6-8 minutes);
•  Energy consumption 60-80 kWh per ton of product, saving 25%-35% compared to traditional spiral freezers;
•  Single-line capacity 1,000-2,500 kg/h, compatible with standard trays;
•  40%-60% shorter in length than spiral freezers at same capacity, saving 35%-50% floor space;
•  PLC automatically adjusts air speed and temperature with ±1°C precision;
•  Food-grade stainless steel.

Impingement Freezer
If you answer "yes" to most of the following questions, then an impingement freezer is exactly what you need:
•Are your products primarily thin, flat, or require IQF (Individual Quick Freezing)?
•Do you struggle with poor product quality after thawing or significant dehydration (weight loss)?
•Is your freezing process becoming a bottleneck that slows down the entire production line?
•Are you willing to make a higher initial investment to achieve long-term gains in product quality, increased output, and reduced material loss?
•Do you aim to enhance your brand positioning or develop new premium products through technological advancement?
Ultimately, choosing an impingement freezer is a strategic investment—one that drives comprehensive improvements in efficiency, quality, and profitability.
